Doing an orgo destroyer problem... "when one atom donates both electrons, what type of bond is formed?"
Among the five choices are "Network covalent" and "Coordinate covalent". Correct answer is "Coordinate covalent".
I understand that the bond described in the question is a covalent bond, but don't both network covalent and coordinate covalent contain covalent bonds? What's the difference between network covalent and coordinate covalent, and why isn't the correct answer "network covalent"?
