Hey guys, I'm a first year currently looking for some advice on neuro. Neuro is our first system that we start in a week and I've been hearing conflicting advice as to how to approach this system especially with outside resources such as Pathoma/Sketchy/First Aid. Some second years have told me not to use any of those resources in Neuro, rather, wait till second year (even though it's still systems second year). Others have told me to start annotating First Aid/Anki things in First Aid, Pathoma and Sketchy not covered in lecture material, and continue using Anki to solidify the information. I'm definitely a fan of anki, I've been using it throughout first year and been doing pretty well on my exams and stuff.

I'm not entirely sure as to what to do, so any advice would be great! Thanks!

Martin's neuroanatomy text and atlas was a life-saver for me.

My school's neuro course was very detailed so first aid/pathoma weren't really enough. I get the sense that some schools may not go as in depth as mine did though so I'd trust your second years. Pathoma, first aid, etc. can never really hurt but I don't think they're the strongest resource for a detailed neuro course.

Yeah our school's is 8 weeks long, and we traditionally do better on Neuro part of Step which is why idk if the other resources are high yield
