What review book was helpful to you for the Neuro shelf? I've been using BRS along with my lecture notes but I don't find it nearly as helpful as it was for Anatomy or Histology.

Also, I've heard this exam is very "clinical". Are there any good resources specifically for that aspect of the exam?

Thanks.

I scored pretty well last year using the kaplan lecture notes and videos.

I just took the SHELF in December and found that First Aid had the most high yield clinical info that I saw on the test. Don't use it as your only resource as it's way too short, but be sure to look over it at some point before the test.

The test was really clinically-oriented. Good luck!

I used High Yield neuroanatomy the weekend before my board and did well on it. It's a short read and can be easily finished in 1-2 days. If you payed attention at all during class this book will be everything you need. If you have time you can use FA to augment, but I didn't find it necessary.

I too used HY and did pretty well. I looked ta FA to make sure I got it all. in terms of clinical, I just made sure I knew the symptoms or what would happen with an injury to each tract

Clinical Neuroanatomy Made Ridiculously Simple, mainly. Add High Yield for the special senses. Pretty easy shelf. Very clinically-based.

if you have to take the neuropathology part then make sure that you study up for that section. it is one of the optional sections on the test and was very challenging. I would suggest studying out of a path book for it because neuro books were not enough.
