Hello friends

I am board certified orthopedic surgeon from India practising as a spine surgeon. I am looking for neurological surgery residency at a good centre.
1. Got tons of experience
2. Step 1 235 (2008)
3. Step 2 231 (2008)
4. PGY1 at Chicago General Surgery
5. One poster presentation at Association of spine surgeons of India
6. 6 Publications
7. Applying for couple of Patents

What are the chances?

My interest about Spine and intracranial surgery with training in most recent advances made me to take this call.

Almost no chance of finding a position in neurosurgery unless the department where you did your prelim year or where you did your research wants to hire you. If you are fully board certified spine surgeon in India, an academic department can hire you to operate as an attending, but this would likely be in an orthopedic surgery department.
