hi,I got preliminary in Internal medicine. Iam really interested in doing neurology....How can I improve my chances of getting neurology as a PGY2??..I am an IMG on H1B visa

- Choose a program known to give H1B and try getting a month of away elective there.
- Do a month of neurology in your program.
- Do a small project in Neurology or a case presentation at ACP.
- look out for openings via findaresident or residentswap as there are quite a few openings throughout the year.
- Identify 2 good and if possible well known faculty preferablu neurologist and try to impress them by working with them if possible.
- Try to shine in your prelim as PD's letter would be the most important one.
