Is it possible to write sensations like heat, cold, pain, and/or touch to a person's brain? I have seen technology that can read what a person is thinking, but is there a way to make them feel something like heat, or touch, without that feeling being physically present in the real world?

Yes. You just need to activate the right neurons.

Not sure why this is in the hSDN forum, high schoolers are going to be able to tell you very little real information on this. Try the Neuro forums?

Yerp. Manipulation of certain sensory nerve tracks and their corresponding ganglia can cause this effect. Certain nerve function tests are actually geared to detect if the tract in question is functioning properly.
