What one book is considered the, "bible" of neuropsychiatry? My program does not emphasize neuropsych at all (more psychodynamic stuff) and I would like more knowledge in this area.

I really like neurology but have no interest in repeating intern year to switch.

Check out Yudofsky and Hales. It's the textbook put out by the APA, so there's something biblical about that. Also, are you specifically interested in neuropsychiatry, which is the clinical area largely concerned with psychiatric aspects of dementias and neurodegenerative diseases, or biological psychiatry, which focuses on the neural underpinnings of depression, anxiety and psychosis, etc.? That would be a different textbook.

To be more specific, biological psychiatry. I remember flipping through Stahl as a third-year med student and being fascinated with the brain pathways and receptors affected by the SSRIs and have always wanted to know more about where this psychopathology comes from (aside from the psychodynamic focus of my program)
