I fully admit this question is neurotic (apologies in advance)

So I've been volunteering in a couple of clinical roles at a free clinic for about a year and a few months now. My AMCAS had listed the activity going up through December, but after some "emergencies" at my job back in October (a small office, we lost 3 employees in 2 weeks), I've had to bump up my work hours to cover the tasks. As such, I have been unable to volunteer in my shift for the last month or so. If asked about this role in interviews, is it fine to just explain this situation, even though I'll have to say that I'm not volunteering right now? I'm planning on going back soon and continuing in my role after Christmas, even though AMCAS had it ending in December. I just don't want to look like a slacker 🙂

Lol OP I garentee u r more then fukked. They like to see dedication n ur saying screw your previously established commitments for a JOB? LMAO good luck getting recked in interviews. Theres always post-bacc or maybe PA if you can explain this situation well.

You're fine. Breathe. No one will care to ask, and if they do, you've already stated your reason (not that logic stops me from being equally neurotic, so I feel your pain--applications have brought out neuroses I didn't even realize existed!)
