My question is this: how likely is it that a student who scores a 19 on the DAT and has a 3.3 GPA and does average on everything else (LORs, interview, personal statement, ECs) to not get accepted into dental school after reapplying to numerous schools for 4 cycles? Will this student eventually get accepted or may he/she have to quit?

That's quite the hypothetical... I would tell said person to try and improve their application in the numerous opportunities out there and not be stagnant through each cycle, so that shouldn't happen.

Basically I just want to know if it's possible for a student to have a solid GPA and DAT and not get accepted eventually? I can see how a student with a GPA under 3.0 and a 16 DAT could never get accepted but I was wondering about a 3.0+ GPA and 19+ DAT.

I feel like if you apply to many school, I'm sure at least one school will take that individual with a 3.0+ GPA and 19+ DAT

Not to be blunt, but you are kind of skewing the image by saying a 3.0+ AND 19+ DAT student. First of all, 3.3 is in the low end of accepted dental students, and a 19 AA on the DAT is a 19, not anything higher such as 20, 21, 22+ etc that 19+ suggests. So I wouldn't necessarily say that a 3.3 GPA and a 19 DAT is considered to be a SOLID GPA and DAT. Anyways, I believe that if that individual were to apply to enough schools, he/she would get in to one eventually.

The student if rejected for the one time, and rejected for the following cycles, it's not mainly due to low stats, but b/c there is no improvement in their apps.

I disagree with this one from my experience at least... Ive raised my DAT significantly, received a masters degree w 3.5gpa, worked as a dental assistant for 2 years and continued to add hundreds of hours of volunteer work each cycle and no offers yet. But you never really know!

What is your overall GPA and DAT?

Actually your statistics seem strong, and the fact that you're getting interviews suggests that your main problem is your strength in interviews. However, your fairly low science DAT scores may be hurting you a bit.

Agree. Either interview skills or low GPA. I mean 18AA doesn't really correlate much with 3.5gpa in masters?
