So I heard that next year there will be a unified application process for all the optometry schools, instead of having to apply to each school individually. Is this true?

I've heard this too but just from word of mouth, is there any hard core literature about this yet?

"If you are considering applying to ANY college of optometry (including SUNY) for entry in the year 2010 or later, please be aware that effective July 15, 2009 most, if not all, colleges of optometry will use a COMMON CENTRALIZED APPLICATION PROCESS and will no longer have available individual applications from each college. Consult our website at www.sunopt.edu in the Spring of 2009 for details on how to utilize that new PROCESS.....HOWEVER, for entry in 2009, continue to use SUNY's application found here on our website"
