Has anyone any info on the new CPT codes for immunohistochemical stains? is it 88342 for the first immuno and than all others are 88343. or this new law only applies to cocktail immunos. this would be a major cut in revenues.

Medicare has no more CPT codes for immunos. They only have G codes. Private insurers are still accepting the CPT, at least where I am.

can u plz explain the G codes. thanks

At least its a discussion about something other than the bad job market...

google medicare g-codes and save us the hassle of spoon feeding

Teaching of sound business and billing principles and practices should be part of residency curriculum.

"G code" stands for "Government code". It is Government's way of telling you what it wants to pay you for your services, disregarding existing rules and rates.
