This will be of interest mostly to those who plan to apply to enter med school in fall '03 or later. I just started working at the Dept of Physiology at the UCLA School of Medicine, and have found out that the faculty are in the midst of designing a whole new integrated medical school curriculum. It's still very much in the works, and is not expected to be implented until '03 or perhaps even '04. Looks like UCLA is following the current trend in providing a more integrative experience during the basic science years. Also, this should complement the opening of the new medical center and facilities scheduled for '04.
