Sounds cool. I think the more DO's get involved in health policy, the more the visibility of the profession is improved. The program sounds a lot like TCOM's DO/DrPH program.

Yes, the funding comes through the MSTP (medical scientist training program) sponsored by NIH.

It's not worth it. I think you still pay your first 2 years then the rest is free, but you get your PhD from a ****ty university called university of the sciences. That's not going to help your career at all. When I checked, they only take 1 student and your MCAT must be over 30.

The only legitimate DO/PhD programs are MSU and OSU. Does UNT have a program? That would be legit.

Rowan SOM has a decent program as well.

Thank you for your input guys ! If by UNT you mean north texas, I think they do. I am a bit busy to use an entire separate application center for only osteopathic school (Texas makes it harder lol). I didn't know that Rowan, I should check that one out !

Rowan is very tough on OOS too, just so you know.

university of science? MSU has the best DO PHD, I think north Texas is okay, Ohio does not have intergrated DOPHD, that means you need to spend 5 years to get your PHD, and the funding is limited. MSU is the only major research univ hosting do phd.

When did it stop being integrated? Just 2 years ago they said it was 7-8 year combined program. Also, outside forensics, OSU is probably not a strong program.

Sorry Oklahoma is not integrated, Ohio is. My rank is MSU >> Ohio=Texas > Oklahoma > PCOM (university of science). I am not sure where does Rowan fit.

By integrated, I'm assuming you mean something like MS I & II, then Ph.D. research years, then MS III & IV? If that's correct, OSU does have an integrated DO/PhD program.
