  1. Pre-Pharmacy
Hey all, I'm currently an undergrad psychobiology major at UCLA. I am a second year. I have not earned anything lower than a B. My GPA is a 3.4 right now due to depression/slacking my freshman year, however, I earned all A/A-'s in my spring quarter and my summer classes, so I'll have an upward trend. I have a lot of school left to bring my GPA up. I love chemistry and biology and I am very interested in becoming pre-pharmacy.

The problem is, I really have no idea what to do in terms of where to apply. I don't know which pre-reqs (economics/history/public speaking) to take, I really wish there was a universal pre-pharmacy pre-req list, but that is not the case. I would highly prefer going to a school in California.

Can anyone here help me regarding
-listing schools that do not require the PCAT
-listing schools that range from easy to get into to hard to get into
-the type of extracurricular activities I could be doing
-listing schools with similar pre-reqs
-any advice/info in general

Thank you so much!

The actual practice of pharmacy involves very little chemistry and biology. If you like these subjects then I would get a PhD in either of them.

The pharmacy profession is already extremely saturated with many unemployed/underemployed new grads, and it's going to get much worse as more schools graduate their first class. There are many options for you at UCLA. Computer science, finance, accounting, engineering, etc. all provide better job prospects/security, pay just as good if not better than pharmacy, and a better work-life balance without the additional $200k+ in loans and 4 years of professional school needed to become a pharmacist.
