So I just received a new letter of recommendation that I really want to send to schools. However, I am already complete at all of the med schools I applied to so I am unsure if I can still send this letter in. If so, do I just upload it to AMCAS and assign it to the schools or do I have to email the admissions committee and let them know I have a new letter?

I can't imagine that this additional letter will make a difference.

I think this new letter will be noteworthy because it's from a well-known admissions committee member for a top 10 med school that served as my advisor for the past couple months. Should I not even bother sending it in?

I'm sure I don't know this person (and my admissions dean doesn't either).
Have him/her call the admissions dean at a school that knows who he/she is instead (if he/she knows him/her).
