I'm a current M4 applying into anesthesia. I've been doing a lot of searching for old forums to tell you how competitive I am while applying. I'm also very curious as to see how others are doing during the interview season and when/where they are getting invites. This site looks like it could help with that info but there needs to be more anesthesia applicants on there to build the database. Check it out. It's just a better version of the "Official 2011 Interview" thread that gets put up each year.

Note: I am in no way affiliated with them and just found this site last week. Thought it could be useful for all us applicants and will be especially helpful to see where you stand if you DON'T get an interview from a coveted program and you end up needing to call them for an interview.

Considering the lack of responses on here, I would not be willing to do this simply because the information is so specific (specifically what medical school, undergraduate, scores, etc). The information is too indentifiable. If this information was "anonymous" until after the match I would consider doing it, but not during the matching process.

Even with it being anonymous it doesn't sound like there are many stats loaded for anesthesia, (I didn't actually join so maybe I've heard wrong). So even if you got every MS4 on this site going into anesthesia to join and honestly input their stats, your sample size would be far too insignificant to draw any reliable conclusions from. It's a good idea but needs way more students than we are likely to get to be useful, and even if that happens what does it change? Your stats aren't changing, we've already applied, and whether we get an interview or not we have done what we can. It would be more useful if years of input was in there and you could use it to decide WHERE to apply, but as of now if I get an interview I couldn't care less what a site of n=50 says, I'm competitive and I'm going there to knock that interview out of the park.
