Howdy, everybody. My name's Brady.

I was a mod on the pharm and pre-pharm forums from 2009-2013. I was here for some of the excitement (I miss SHC), though I missed the fake pharmacy school in Hawaii.

I was here during undergrad and when I started pharmacy school. I was a pie in the sky residency track kinda guy until I actually landed one. I did 6 months with a VA facility that basically used us as cheap labor. We were doing 70 hour work weeks and not really learning much along the way (except what you learn just from doing the work). I looked around me and didn't see any role models or people whose career paths I wanted to emulate, so I pulled my rip cord and got outta there.

I've worked for a small chain of community pharmacies for a few years and I've never had a better, more fulfilling job in my life. I'm also happy to be back on SDN.

So... Howdy. 🙂

Welcome back!! To catch-up on what you've missed, I highly recommend reading all of @PAtoPharm 's posts. It might take several weeks, but it's well worth the read IMO.

Wow your VA residency used you as cheap labor for 70 hrs a week? That's messed up and very spooky.

When I filed my complaint with ASHP, I was told the site had initially been denied accreditation and was only approved after the initial visitor had moved onto another job.

They've added a PGY-2 since. That's some high quality QA for ya.
