What a coincidence. I'm an IMG born and raised in Los Angeles. My fiance is a 1st year resident at PennState Hershey Psychiatry, and I came here to help her settle in and visit her. I'm yet to take the steps, although I have done 2 clerkships in PM&R at Harvard's Spaulding Rehab and Mt. Sinai NY. I've been head over heals interested in PM&R but was a bit dissapointed when my fiance decided to pursue psychiatry at Penn State Milton because they did not have a PM&R program I could follow upon in the area. This is great news for me. Do you have any other information on how I can contact the director or physiatrist for an observership? Anything I can do on my behalf to step foot into this program?
Being an IMG, which range of step scores should be an aim of mine to have a shot? Thank you all for your help!

If your serious about your relationship it makes a ton of sense to consider the Hershey program. I'd strongly recommend an audition. The GME phone number is 717-531-5768 according to their website. Speak with the PC and not the PD to schedule the rotation. I'd also look at their website regarding applicant requirements considering that you are IMG.
