I'm a reapplicant and have already written a PS. However, this year I'm having problems with it because I think my PS last year was really good (I was told by many adcoms). I'm looking to focus on three events which made me choose medicine. My father's death when I was 16, my heart surgery, and working in a hospital. Should I focus on one event or put all three in? I feel that if I take one experience away the essay wont be as good. Individually they all affected my choice but all equally. I'm also trying to find a common theme in all three experiences. I did put all three experiences in my last PS and it went well but I need to revise. I hope I'm not over thinking the revision but I dont want to have a similar PS.

If your original PS was good, go with that. I would say focus on the weakpoints of your previous app to better your chances this time around. If adcoms thought your PS was good but you still didn't get in, then that's not what you should be working on. Good luck.

I would agree with DocOB. Focous on the weak parts of your application.

Write how those experiences made u learn and be a better person...
