now im totally sure this title would have attracted all of you
i think
that there needs to be a requirement that doctors should have a bedside manner and a social and not pompus attittude
so
who thinks we should add a social competence section on the mcat =3

Chances are, if you have the confidence and intellectual prowess to sit for the MCAT, you will easily be able to answer common sense questions gauging your social competence. (Not saying that everyone who takes the MCAT could do it - just the majority)

This is what interviews and the OSCE are for. Contrary to popular belief, the MCAT isn't everything when it comes to getting into med school/becoming a doctor :)

You are an evil, dirty person. I love it.

true the interview does that
but.. you can get lucky with that
i opt that we the mcat taker have to deal with 1. cranky old lady, 3 extremely obnoxious kids and 1 depressed and overly medicated sociopath and properly deal with them without offing them

hows that for a amazing test:smuggrin::laugh::smuggrin:

The title of your thread is misleading. Some people are going to get annoyed.

misleading titles are my specialty =3
they prove to have more epic effect then those with a directly related title

Fine, I guess you could get lucky with your fantasy situation too

Ummm... not sure why that was directed at me

But yes. It was annoying.

I can already see the questions..

A beautiful young lady comes into the emergency room with minor symptoms that include: itchiness, headache, and dizziness. Which of the following should you not do:

A) Stare at her rack
B) Stare at her back
C) Stare at her legs
D) Full Physical
E) Ensue in nonprofessional discussion
F) Check for breast cancer

you cant get annoyed
at somebody whose posts are
all in haiku form

i know right?
they're obviously amazing

honestly would you prefer paragraph walls or my current style of writing. because most people get really displeased with walls and it hurts peoples eyes and stuff..

At first I made a mistake quoting you, but then decided to leave it like that to make a point about this thread. Hahahaha.

But seriously, we need a new item in the TOS that addresses intentionally misleading titles. It might be amusing now, but just imagine the jungle we'd have to deal with if even 30% of the threads were like this.

The answer is MMI.

no thanks...tried that, didn't work out.

here's my solution: a Star Wars trivia section on the MCAT. that would be awesome. no prequels though...just the good ones.

i heard they're adding a troll identification portion of the mcat. sometimes the questions are portrayed as fact, but instead mislead and annoy.

lol I thought this was pretty funny

Hmm. Grading this section would be interesting.

In the cantina in Mos Eisley,
A) A good time is had by all.
B) Luke masters kung fu.
C) Han fires in self-defense after he's been shot at.
D) Han shoots first.

...where A, B, and C result in a point for the social skills section?

I want to answer D...does anyone know where I can buy a DVD set of the non-butchered trilogy?

Edit: Answer A also seems pretty likely.

I would argue that Greedo did not have a good time.

No he didn't, and depending on whether its the re-mastered version or not changes the answer choice of who shot first :D

No, because I wrote this question and thereby only acknowledge the original. Han shot first.

I would've answered D of course, Full Physical, come on people! =D

Star Wars Trivia #2:
What is Master Yoda's lightsaber style?
A) Trakata
B) Vaapad
C) Ataru
D) Djem-So
E) Ewok

You mean a proper history doesn't include the following sequence of questions?

Are you sexually active?

Would you like to be? ;)
