New Vet School Coming To Tennessee!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Lol. This had me laughing pretty well. I'm 25 (have been out of school for some time) and one of my greatest strengths and favorite past times is stalking people on Facebook...

Right? We're like ninjas. Facebook stalking ninjas. Lock down your profile pics, kids, or I'll be creepin' them.

🤣

May day is infinitely better now.

I’ve read most of this thread and the thing that really gets me is how responsible everyone is. Pat yourselves on the back for even thinking about the implications of the debt issue.
It does however shock me how passé the general public is regarding debt. This leads me to wonder why we as pre-vets, vet students, and grads have such a strong moral obligation to pay back our student loan debt. Yea, it’s the right thing to do and finical ruin is bad but the thought still crosses my mind.
I say this as a person who found a small ranch to buy but making the sale of one home to purchase the ranch and owning both for 9 months was crazy scary. My husband and I worked five jobs between the two of us to pull it off. I can’t tell you how many people recommended letting our first home go to foreclosure. The idea of that never crossed our minds. My point, some things got-ta give so responsible people can have at least a stable, normal, non-living with your parents kind a life.
All of this is why SGU sounds great in theory but for the past 3 years I’ve applied to my in-state only.

Student loan debt is only dischargeable if you die. You can't just declare bankruptcy and get out of it.

It's guaranteed money for the Feds... well, except that if the current trends continue, there's only so much blood you can get from a stone.

I'm the one on the left. 😉

I'm all of them. Bwahaha.

Can't believe I hadn't seen that before! I loved all the slow-mo shots and "get your knees flexin' and your arms T-rexin' "

Sorry. I'm a 21-year-old college student. Facebook stalking is one of my basic instincts.

I'm a bit behind the times, I'll admit. However, I went creepin too after you tipped me off 😀

I don't know if we can even expect that. The "new normal" and all. There are more surveys that indicate people think a visit to the vet is even less important than it used to be with the rise of low cost clinics that give subsidized vet care, the poor economy, and the advent of Dr. Google. I like to hope for the best, but expect the worst... 🙁

And you have just stated one of my major concerns as well. I figured that now people have discovered that Spot has done just fine without his annual exam and vaccinations during these hard times, it may not go back to what was experienced in the past.
