New Walmart initiative for their RPHs

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I work for walmart. What's the rumor? :/ should I be looking for a new job?

Saw in another thread that they were replacing pharmacy managers with general store managers or something like that.

If that is true what is the incentive to be the PIC for legal purposes?

I have worked for Walmart for 20 years and have not heard any such rumor.

It's about making all full time pharmacists salaried.

Ive been told it will be at different hours per pay period. ..I.e. 48 hr, 72 hr, etc. for salaried rphs. Don't know about all full time though.

and I heard WM doesn't pay for drive time anymore

Interesting; I remember this particular pediatric hospital making a push to convert staff rphs from hourly to salary as well. I wonder how that went?

How can Walmart expect their floaters to be salaried and have to drive about 10 hours a week without compensation...

Simple answer don't be a floater. Wag has never paid for mileage except over certain distances.

What's the distance? A round trip to some stores in my district are about 5 hours! That's half of our 10 hour shifts!

Last I checked anything under 50 miles from your home store isn't paid but I don't travel anymore.

Every store in my district is over 50 miles from my home store!

That seems odd, walgreens downgraded district size but most stores were within 50 miles before.

Rite aid pays 55 cents per mile past 25 miles each way (roundtrip minus 50 miles), no drive time pay
