My uncle's pharmacy uses this new website called www.rxneed.com. He said it really helps him out. It's designed for the independent pharmacy. It's really cool because customers can request their refills online and there are automatic notifications via email when the refills are complete for the customer and pharmacist. It's the same type of system that big boys like CVS and Walgreens use but more consumer friendly. They are also in the process of developing an App for the smart phone. My uncle also uses it as a marketing tool to promote his pharmacy. Rxneed gives him his on personal web address so he doesn't need to have a personal website. So it makes it easy for my uncle to promote his discounts and coupons online as well as get new customers through many marketing campaigns that the website runs for their clients such as e-mail marketing. You guys should check it out. I always felt the pharmacy field lacked innovation. I'm glad to know someone is trying to make the pharmacists more tech friendly.
