I'm currently a D1 and my GPA is pretty low now due to family health issues and the fact that I commute. I just want to get an idea of the "minimum" GPA I need to get into a NY state required GPR. If it's required by NY, anyone who graduated dental school should be able to get into a GPR on their list right?

Where can I find more info about how the PASS process works?

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

A residency is not automatic. They review all applicants, and many may not get in. BUT, they are so many open positions every year, they if you look, are not too choicy you can get into a program.

We only interview about 20 for our 10 resident spots. Delaware also requires a residency. We only interview qualified candidates.... but we do take into account personal problems. We look at national boards, GPA/standings, letters of recommendation, the essay (who you are/any problems/desires), and the interview.... and IMPROVEMENT.... as a D1 you have atleast two years to reach for the sky....

good luck
