Hello to everybody, i'm new in this forum - I've been reading the posts and it seems like an interesting place to read and post comments. I'm only starting my second year undergrad. It seems like most forums are always for people either already in med school or finishing up their undergrad. So it was great to finally find a forum that appealed to me.
Anyway, I'll stop now - I simply wanted to introduce myself :-D

welcome to the board... i found this late in my senior year and was so mad i hadn't found it before, it would have helped. 🙂

I think pre-med advisors should let students know that there is such a site. I didn't know until my TPR teacher told me recently. You'll find this site very helpful in this whole process. I know I do. Welcome and good luck!

Howdy!!

I'm going to have to disagree...get off the forum now!!! It's too late for some of us, but you can fight the addiction!! RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In any case, welcome!! 😀

the forum is great for info, agreed.

however, the downside is that it tends to make us all anal about the med school admissions process and gets us thinking about "will this help me get into med school?" all the time. i kind of wish i wasn't like that, i wish i could just go through my undergrad years, kick ass in class and on the mcat, and then become blissfully aware of the prospect of medical school right before i apply. it would keep me more sane, thats for sure.

i dont like thinking about med school every single day. and i do.

another downside of SDN is that it results in some people, like indyzx, sprouting multiple personalities which enjoy very different things....

for the record, i dont know what you mean.

Welcome to SDN! There are people in their earlier undergrad. years and even some in high school here. Anyhow, have fun🙂

hehe, thanks for the welcome - I think it's too late, i'm already insane... I don't know whether I can lose more of my mind than I already have!
