OH....Nice website...totally Newbie here~

I took DAT a month ago. score? AA:18 TS:19 PAT:21
Reading ruined everything...13...:scared:

Im gonna retake it on Nov..BUT do I need to send my current DAT score
to dental schools with applications?

Or, should I send applications via ADEA first, and then send new DAT score on November?

I`m soooo confused now...someone say dental addmissions do not even look
at the application unless everything is ready..

18 schools to apply...too expensive for sending out current DAT scores..😡

Please give me some advises!!! Thank you all!!!

Hello,
Although its getting somewhat late in the cycle, if you really want to get in this year I would suggest submitting your AADSAS application as soon as possible because it takes them between 4-8 weeks to process.

As for DAT score, you might want to consider calling schools and tell them that you will do a retake so that they put your app. on hold till the new one gets here.

As for sending the present score, I think the right thing to do is to send them to schools now anyways, and then after your retake send your retake scores also. I understand that it is expensive, and personally if I am REALLY, REALLY short on cash I might just send in the second one - since the ADA reports your newest score + 3 previous old scores if you got them.

However, the schools might question you why didnt you send the old scores...so its up to you. Bottom line is if you really want to get in this cycle you gotta submit soon.
