Hello,
I'm an intern located in Saudi Arabia, just had interviews with the hospitals for a residency in radiology.
Two hospitals carry accreditations, one with canadian accreditation, the other with american college of radiology accreditation only in CT. Of course, the hospitals have mandatory fellowships abroad (including the US and Canada).

Say a catastrophe happened, or I thought of moving to a more progressive country, or even teleradiology. Will those accreditation have any effect on working in the US/Canada (as in considered as having the american/canadian board) or are they just to the benefit of the hospital and would not benefit the resident.

TLDR:
Applying to residency in hospitals in saudi arabia with accreditations from us/canada, Will they help me having a job in the states or canada or are they just badges to show off with.

I really appreciate your help
Thank you

Not at all. Unless you do residency in the states, you can't work their. Even if you do a fellowship in the US after doing your residency in SA, you're only allowed to do a fellowship, not practice (assuming you've passed all steps and have the appropriate scores). So unless you do residency in the states, one cannot become US board certified. No easy way around it.

There is a loophole for radiology.

I'm no expert, but the law is clear. No US board certification, no US job. If you're referring to teleradiology, it's the same deal, you have to be US board certified.

This has been discussed ad nauseam. Do a search for it. There is a loophole for radiology.

Yeah there's no loophole. Snap out of your dreams

No dreams. Personally I don't care if there's a loophole or not. It doesn't affect me. It's just (accurate? inaccurate? who knows because I didn't care enough to read it) information for others.
