Next AADSAS mailout is this Friday 7/7

I just called AADSAS, and the customer service rep told me that if your application wasn't mailed out last week Friday, it will be mailed out in this week's batch on Friday.

Whipee for me, 7/7 lucky number Friday!!!

If my app is completed by Thursday will it go out on Friday? When is the deadline for "submitting" it? I am still waiting on one transcript and wrapping up my personal statement.

I just got off the phone with AADSAS and the lady said they do 2 mailings a week, not on specific days.

I'm still waiting on one transcript (should be added this week). I asked if they receive my transcript, I submit my app and pay the fee, will it get sent out on Friday. She said No because it needs to get "processed" before being "mailed" to the schools. She said it takes 4-8 weeks for the entire process. WHAT THE ****?! Can someone possibly clarify WHEN my schools will physically receive my application? Assume I e-submit TODAY, transcript received by Thursday.

That 4-8 weeks bull**** makes me really feel Like I screwed up.

It's not going out friday....that's for sure. After they recieve your last transcript, it takes like 2 weeks for them to calculate your GPA, then they'll send it out a week or two after that. This is just a hunch because it took them that long for them to send mine out. But mine went out on the first mailings, so it might be different from now on. You hear a lot of things in this forum, that tell you a lot of different things. I would just try to forget about it, and chill. There's nothing more that you can really do.

Don't worry about you LOR's. They will not hold your application because they are not all in. They will send them later as they are recieved. Good luck in getting your application sent in this cycle.

Really? The lady whom I spoke to on Monday said the hard copies of the application are mailed out on Fridays every week.

At least I'm expecting mine to be mailed out this Friday. 😀

Don't worry about you LOR's. They will not hold your application because they are not all in. They will send them later as they are recieved. Good luck in getting your application sent in this cycle.

... but that doesn't mean that he shouldn't worry. Schools won't consider applications complete until the LORs are received. If they are being sent through AADSAS, then he will probably still have a huge wait prior to them being sent out.

Just because he can submit his AADSAS without them doesn't mean he shouldn't be concerned.

i don't think you should look at it like that...when i asked them about it...they looked at the date that the gpa was calculated and told me to wait at least 4 weeks after that. mine was calculated june 9th...they told me that it "probably" will go out this friday. This friday and last friday or the friday before that....what's the difference? BUT....it sure does make you feel alot better to know that your crap is sent out right?

I called AADSAS today. What lively, friendly, caring music on their hold ... sigh! Apparently, they process and mail apps in the date order in which they are submitted and finalized. If you finalized in June you will be mailed out within the stated four-eight weeks. They stand on the principle of whatever minimizes complaints and gives them a snappy response to the question they apparently hear mmmmaaaaannnnnnyyyy times a day. As with all things AADSAS, you give them the money, they ignore you until they don't-then they mail out.

well, i guess since my last transcript was received june 7th, and it took a few days for my GPA to be calculated, i shouldn't hold my breath for it to mail out today. Maybe next week.

I sent my application on May 30th and payment was verified on the same day. Transcripts verified on June 7th.
and today the first mailing got to UF and mine wasnt in there.

Since this is an unnofficial "I hate the AADSAS" thread, let me throw in my two cents. AADSAS lost one of my transcripts AND a LOR 😕 . I had to reorder my transcripts a couple of weeks ago and get my evaluator to resend this week. Oh well. Next week I leave to go play Army for a month, oh joy.

Doesn't look like anyone's application got sent out today...at least noone on SDN. How did you know that AADSAS lost a transcript and LOR? Did you sent them and AADSAS just never acknowledged that they received them or did they somehow lose them after your application was complete? Oh, and don't get too upset with AADSAS...they aren't all that great, but they are definitely improving. You have to give them that.

I didn't get any notification that my application was ready for mailing! I actually called them to make sure, and they said that since my GPA didn't get vertified till July 3rd, I might have to wait a couple more weeks. It might take up to 8 weeks for them to mail it! Oh Well!

I was hoping my application would be sent out this week, so that I can meet up with an admissions dean of one of my designated dental schools, so we can look over my application.

You might want to check your LOR status section. According to my status section all of my LORs were sent out today, but my printout status still says not mailed. I would not be surprised if AADSAS simply has not yet updated everything, it does not make much sense to send a package containing just the LORs and then send the rest of the application later. Then again, who knows with AADSAS?

I think calling the good people at AADSAS "liars" is giving them way too much credit. Lying requires premeditation and lets face it...a little intelligence if you're going to pull it off. I think a far likelier explanation for AADSAS's recent shortcomings is incompetence. Don't get too upset with them...you got your application in very early and there's nothing else you can do now but wait. Another thing...why would you bother the dean of admissions at whatever school your applying to by going and looking over your application now? It's been submitted so you don't have time to change or improve anything. If they want to talk to you, they'll invite you for an interview. What do you hope to gain by this meeting? If you ask me, it sounds like the only thing you're going to do is convince the adcom that you're a huge suck up.

I met the admissions dean of my state school at a recruitment presentation, and he told me that when I was getting ready to apply, I could make an appointment and meet with him to discuss my app. i don't know when I'm going to do that (maybe the fall), but if he offered, I think it can't hurt.

I guess I would use the time to just introduce myself and bring attention to my application. Like a pre-screen interview....

They still have not "recived" one my transcipt that I sent out twice, once on june1 and again june20th.

Well one guy told me that my stuff would be sent out for sure on 7/7 but it turns out he didn't know what he was talking about. I called this morning and another guy told me that it would be sent out this friday 7/14 and that this was only their second mailing. He said that they did not send out apps last friday. Can anyone confirm this? I sent in all my stuff on 5/15 and had everything there and confirmed at the end of May. Three other guys from my school applied at the same time as me and all of their apps were sent out in the first mailing. That's just great luck on my part I guess.

Confirmed buddy. I have submitted my AADSAS application on May 25th, and I called AADSAS last week Monday to ask whether they were going to mail out the applications on Friday 7/7. The lady said they will.

However, I logged into my online account, and low and behold, the applications were still "not mailed yet." Phooey.

So I called AADSAS on Friday in the afternoon. The guy said that the second mail out will be this coming Friday 7/14. So as for now, I will take his word. But there's no rush, as I still have to take the DAT at the end of August. I swear, AADSAS loves to give people the run-arounds.

I think that they tell people the 14th to cover their backs. If they say the 10th and it doesn't happen, then a million predents start calling to find out whats going on.
