Next round of interview invites?

For those of us who are looking for more interview invites instead of acceptance letters, when can we start to expect them to come around?

I understand that most schools have put interviews on hold for now while they wait for their top picks to respond to their acceptances, but when will they start to send out more invitations for interviews?

I'd imagine it probably won't be until the new year.

Christmas is a sunday this year and I think the staff and adcoms would probably want to duck out by the Wednesday the 21st. Making that assumption, that only leaves 20 calendar days for people have offers to accept, send in deposits, withdraw offer/cancel interviews from other schools. Schools would then be able reevaluate their pool and possibly reconvene the adcom.

Its just too little time for all of that to happen. Based on previous years you see people lagging even when they already got into their top choice.

So best thing to do is relax. I'm just hoping I don't see a rejection between now and the new year so I can score something when people withdraw.

Accepted applicants have 45 days to pay the deposit, or they forfeit their seat. I'm thinking Jan 14 is the magic day.

Right, but that assumes they already have interview applicants lined up...

As Herkulease has pointed out, with the holidays and everything, they probably won't start re-evaluating until Jan14th.

Also, aren't some schools only 1 month (30 days) as opposed to 45.

My first year, my OHSU interview invite came in February
Second year, interview invite came in March
Third year, interview invite from USC came in February
