I had my student loans for tuition/fees returned back to the lender the other day. I also noticed a $1000 was deposited into my bank account by my school. I assume this was the $1000 deposit I put down when I was accepted. No disbursement yet.
Have you had the chance to look into places to practice yet? If so, what have you seen as far as location, starting pay, scope of procedures (I know it's generally more limited but I've heard some clinics do more), and any words of wisdom you could share with us during school/after school concerning the scholarship or whatever you feel like. Thanks!
I would be applying for the 2016 cycle. Have a few Q's.
I am from a rural town of about 1500 people in North Dakota. I would really want to practice in ND or way north MN.
-I'm assuming this would help me, correct?
-Would most of these practicing opportunities be in more of a public/clinical setting? Are there opportunities with private practices in that area as well? (Rural areas of course)
-The variety of procedures and their difficulty also concern me (want variety and the chance to work on higher difficulty procedures) Anyone have an idea of this?
I am quite ambitious in wanting to be able to do it all for a patient. I know some of the areas I would like to go to wouldn't have a specialist for over 100 miles.
