does anyone know if we are still getting the extra 8 hours? my paycheck last week was missing the 8 hours.

You should not be getting extra hours. You are paid for the hours you work.

nope, none of the above posters got it. If you work overnight at cvs , you get paid an extra 8 hours, meaning you work 84 hrs and get paid 92 hrs

Is it by law that cvs pays you the extra 8 hours? If it is a company's policy then I would be surprised if they changed it.

yep. they're removing the 8 extra hrs now. time to find a daytime job. ^_^,,

you have to work 84 hours as an overnight Rph? I have never seen any position other than 7 x 10 hour days get paid for 80 (and this is from 5 different places)

What state is this in? Not NY or MA, I can tell you that for sure.

Is this like your shift diff? thats a **** ton of money considering CVS already pays a ton per hour compared to hospital etc.
It is essentially a 10% shift dif, at our hospital you get a 8$ an hour shift diff, plus 10 hours of pay you didn't do - so all in all almost a 25% shift dif

holy****, that's insane, i should've gone to work for cvs.
why? it is actually a pretty crappy shift diff compared to anyplace I have ever seen - plus it is cvs - aka the worst chain to work for

lol, true, but i didn't realize they pay ~$8/hour more? plus an additional 8 hours every week? But like you said, job satisfaction is more important than pay..to me anyway.

8 an hour was my hospital, plus the extra 10 hours - cvs was just giving you an extra 8 hours

it used to be awesome doing overnights. u get 8 hrs extra, plus most of the scripts are refills so u dont have to stare hard at the screen to decipher the poor handwriting. u dont have to care about calling patients, calling docs, etc. no metrics to worry about. all that is still good, except now they removed the 8 hrs extra pay.

I'm a night pharmacist at cvs and I'm unsure of what you are talking about. I've always worked 80 hours every other week with a 5 dollar shift differential. That's all I've ever heard of CVS doing.
