I know this type of post has been made many times, but still...
If anyone has done the NIH IRTA program, how did you go about finding housing? The site given by the NIH gives a listing of real estate and apartment companies, but most of the places seem to be fairly expensive compared to the stipend.
Also, this may seem dumb, but I have been living in a college town for the last few years and I'm sure things work differently elsewhere. When renting an apartment, say 2-3 bedrooms, can you rent only a single room or do you have to rent the whole of the apartment and try to find roommates through other mediums?
Also, if anyone else is in the program and needs housing for the next year, I am sure I'll be needing a roommate. Just PM me.
