I logged into my era portal to check my status (hasnt changed since April). I applied for a new LRP through NICHD peds. To date, I have not received any emails regarding financial vetting. However, when I logged on today (to torture myself) I noticed a new button for add additional documents. When I click on that button it shows an option to upload financial documents. Again- I have not received any emails but this was not here the last time I checked (two-ish weeks ago).

Has this happened to anyone else? What could this possibly mean? It feels so late in the game, but maybe better late than never??

happy to report the financial review email followed this morning 🙂
 
Checked my era yesterday and noticed the "view documents" option disappeared and the available actions drop down just says "none available" when in Flat View (in Grouped View there's nothing there at all). My application status still says "Pending IRG Review." Anyone having a similar experience/heard of this happening to others? Is there still hope that a "view portal" button is in my future?

Context: New, NCI clinical research
- 4/15/24 First financial vetting contact
- 4/19/24 IBO salary verification
- 4/25/24 Financial vetting complete/approved
- 7/3/24 Noticed the view documents option disappeared

I’m in the same boat! Very similar timeline except I applied to a new award through NIAID. All my buttons disappeared on 7/2. Hoping it doesn’t mean bad news! I read in an old thread from last year I think that this happened to someone else who later did get an award. I think each institute does it a little differently. Please share if happen to notice any buttons pop up! Fingers crossed for you too!
 
Any new information on NIMHD?! (Besides the one person who received the renewal financial vetting email).
 
I got an email on 7/5 informing me that I was renewed for 1 year for NIDA LRP! Seems the contract is automatic - no additional info was requested and no contract signature was needed this time around, compared to the initial application.

Did anyone get a 2-year renewal? Any sense of why you were awarded 2 years? Curious how often those are awarded versus the 1-year renewals.

Also, a friend was awarded a new LRP award from NIDA on the same day (7/5).

I have 2 colleagues who were also informed of new NIMHD LRP awards within the last week.

I posted something a few pages back when I was going through the renewal process in 2022 to start in 2023 -- I don't recall the details exactly but I think your university has to indicate 2 years of support for the renewal on their side of things, in addition to your application requesting 2 years ... otherwise you automatically get bumped to a 1-year renewal.
 
Curious if anyone has heard from NCCIH about award notices, or if you know of anyone who has?

I am also waiting to hear from NIMHD. I am a new applicant and received the financial vetting email and approval a few months ago. I know some individuals have been awarded Health Disparities Research LRP's through NIMH, though this is a different IC than NIMHD.

Buttons just disappeared for me. Applied for a renewal under peds through NIAID 🤞🏻

Congrats! I still have no buttons for my new award... doesn't look like anyone has officially heard from NIAID yet so fingers crossed! I am hopeful the movement on the button front for you means we should hear soon...
 
Congrats to those who are getting their NOAs and fingers crossed for those still waiting!

I am curious if anyone here (particularly those who are getting renewals on previous LRPs) has experience with how PSLF and LRP interface? In particular, whether months where there is no payment due because you are paid ahead after the LRP quarterly payment DO count toward PSLF?

I called MOHELA last week to get some clarity but I am still confused - their message was that yes the months count when I am paid ahead AND my regular payment amount would still be deducted montly?? 😐

I also applied for a new NIAID REACH award and didn't have any buttons for a couple weeks now. I checked this morning and the Portal View button was available with payments showing through 2026. Im sure you checked yours, but if you havent, do it!

Ironically this is the one day I have not checked all day.... and I did just look and have the portal view!!! Thank you so much for the heads up and congrats to you too!

Someone please update me if you hear back from NIAID LRP-REACH... no sign of portal button... and was never financially vetted. Status still says "Pending IRG review" Anyone who applied to the same IC, what does yours say on your end?

Hello! I also applied to NIAID REACH (new application, extramural). Here is some information I hope is useful. This is what my award looks like under "flat view". If I hit the "view portal" button it shows a new page with a list of payments over the next two years on my loan. I have not received an official email or notice of award, but hope that the "View Portal" button popping up is a really good sign. From what I understand from others, once this pops up most people get the official award email within a few days (seems like they schedule them to send early in the morning like 5 AM). The View portal button popped up for me yesterday.

Here is the timeline from anything after the initial submission/letters of rec submission etc last November:

04/18/2024 - Initial SSN Notification (this was when I got the financial vetting email and instructions)
05/08/2024 - Institutional Business Official Salary Verification confirmation (someone where I work confirmed my salary)
05/09/2024 - Fin Vetting Progress Notif (notice that I needed to update one of the financial documents)
05/16/2024 - Fin Vetting Complete Notif (confirmation that they got all of my financial documents and approved them)
07/02/2024 - I noticed that all the buttons disappeared (there was just nothing under available actions)
07/15/2024 - noticed that the "View LRP Documents" button returned, and a new "View Portal" button popped up

I read that there were some in years past that didn't hear anything at all (including financial vetting) until later into the summer and still ended up getting it. If you did not get it this year, I read a lot of old posts that suggested contacting the PO to get feedback and definitely keep applying! Fingers crossed for you!

Got the official email! 🎉

Also looking at the payments, I don’t think I fully appreciated that they basically pay it down to a 20% debt-to-income ratio… the second year of my renewal the payments get cut in half so the end balance is 20% of the salary we gave them this year

EDIT because I’m dumb — it’s actually that each year they only pay off half, until you have a balance of $2000

I am also in this stage. New, NIAAA with REACH program.

I completed financial vetting 06/2024 and noticed the view documents option disappeared last week. My status still says pending IRG review.
 
Does anyone know if institutes announce renewals and new awards at the same time? Someone I know heard about a renewal from the same agency as I applied for a new award, and I still haven’t heard anything. Makes me nervous! (I was vetted back in May.)
 
Any intramural updates? Emailed 7/9, and they said no intramural decisions had been made at that time. This wait is so painful.
 
Getting so impatient waiting on NICHD. Anyone heard anything from that IC yet? Twitter updates have slowed down it seems.

Oh! I hadn’t thought of that. I received my scores on a different grant Monday morning but maybe it affected programs differently.

I was financially vetted (NICHD, new award peds) and have not heard anything. I also haven’t seen any awards from NICHD announced on twitter. Crossing my fingers.

I was financially vetted pretty late (beginning of July) so I wonder if they are just behind 🤷🏻‍♀️

Intramural. Vetted a long time ago, no notification. No changes in era commons LRP buttons (like loss of View LRP documents, etc).

Also NICHD, new award REACH. Was financially vetted early and salary confirmed from IBO and everything. I also haven't heard of any NICHD updates on twitter or reddit. I thought we'd hear sooner than August but I guess not.

I submitted an new award pediatric LRP to NICHD (secondary NIAID). I was asked for financial review on 4/12 and finished being reviewed on 4/17. Ive also been stuck on “Pending IRG Review” since 4/2. I’ve been obsessively checking Twitter every day for NICHD LRP announcements and check my era commons every day but haven’t see any changes in the drop down “Actions” menu. Last year NICHD started announcing around 7/26 so it seems they’re behind. I’m hoping. This is killing my mental stability 😂

I can relate! I just want to know, either way. I feel like if we don’t get it, and have been vetted etc, it will be the biggest NIH tease ever. 😞😒
