3 mos ago my PI predicted one of his projects would be downsized. So with this sequestration a 100% certainty, he's moving me to the dead project because the way he put it, the other people have a family to feed and I don't. Im just a premed peon. Tomorrow I go in and clean out my personal belongings. One RA is trying to be a TA, and then he'll try to go to med school or PA school since there is no future in research anymore unless you're Ivy League.

Didn't your PI already get the funding for this specific project and so everything you are doing is paid for?

Does anyone know how the sequester will affect our financial aid?

Science in America has been dead-end for at least the past 30 years.
