hey guys
I am currently appling to DO schools for fall 2011. I already have my AACOMAS verified and received my MCAT scores yesterday.
I got a 27Q and have 3.56 cumm GPA and a 3.77 science GPA.

I am obviously applying to UMDNJ DO school since its in state, but I really want to apply broadly to have the best shot of getting in and would really appreciate a list or index of out of state DO schools which I might have a decent shot getting accepted to. I know lots of State schools accept something like 1% of out of state applicants so its probably a waste to apply to those schools, so I really am looking for the out of state schools which give out of state applicants a decent shot at acceptance.

Also, I would appreciate any opinions regarding my chances of getting into a DO school for fall 2011 given my stats (assume I have strong EC's and LOR). THanks so much-SH

Go to the aacom website and look at the CIB book...that's the best way to find out the basics about each school. Do some of your own research, don't post on here and expect others to do it for you. One thing that doesn't transfer well over to med school is laziness!😉

i think u have great stats and a good chance at most schools. i too am an nj resident and i applied to schools that were not heavy instate, did not require having to redo my LORs, and did not require practicing in a specific region

Here's a direct link to the DO Information Book in PDF format. It gives averages, etc. for all DO schools in the nation.
