so after being on the job hunt in NJ for the last 2 months all I can say is wow. really hate to bring up a recurring theme but I really feal bad for the future of pharmacy and can’t imagine how bad next years grads will have it.
and yes I know some will say but its ok just have to network and have to separate yourself blah blah blah. truth is most pharmacists have been and will be retail and between mergers, reimbursement, and more grads than ever ....... sad

I hear you. North Jersey especially IMO is the most saturated place in the nation. EXTREMELY hard to find full time jobs around NY NJ PA metro areas. I hear Delaware has some retail jobs but thats about it.

It's comforting to hear that FDU's Medco School of Pharmacy has helped alleviate the pharmacist shortage in NJ. I kid, I kid.

I guess there's pharma, but even that's not so stable. Not sure how anyone in their right mind would go to pharmacy school in the tri-state area in this day and age. I would no doubt look into getting into banking/financial sector with the city being just a stone's throw away.

To be fair NJ is one of, if not the most, saturated states in the US for pharmacists according to the government BLS survey.
