Do you think I'll be alright for the new MCAT without having taken a biochem course in my college?

I already have knowledge about Michaelis Menton, LineweaverBurk, and other introductory concepts in biochem.

I plan to use MCAT biochem materials to study before the MCAT and also plan on looking at online biochem videos to self teach myself it over summer. Do you think this should be enough biochem for the 2015 MCAT and not needing to take the course?

Seeing as applicants, including me, have taken the MCAT without lots of other requirements (like Organic Chemistry), I fully expect that you will be able to do just fine with self studying. Would taking a class help? Sure. Would not taking the class doom you? Of course not. Are you capable of effective self-study? Only you can know the answer.

Kyamh nailed everything, but I thought I would give a tip if you do decide to self-study. Biochemistry really sticks a lot if you draw out the mechanisms and the pathways that you will learn. Among all the biology classes I took, it was the one that I really benefited from when I tried to like WHY each step happened as opposed to simply memorizing and cranking it out on the exams.

Since the MCAT is very "big-picture", understanding the reasoning behind how an enzyme works and why, among many other things, will set you up well for the MCAT.
