hi guys,

I went to a satellite school and graduated with a 3.6 GPA Honors in B.S. They never offered Biochemistry and so I never took it. I have already submitted my application but what are my chances bc a lot of schools are asking for it. Should i take it on the side or something or is it too late?

DAT: 22AA 23TS 18PAT. Have extracurricular activities, shadowing hrs and etc.

Thanks!

You can get all the way to an acceptance letter, but must take the course before matriculating if the school requires it. It will not make/break you, unless perhaps it is a "recommended" course and you are severely lacking in a strength of schedule.

Can't you just take biochem this upcoming semester at a local college or university?

If the school you end up attending requires it, it's fine to complete it sometime next year, as long as it's before you matriculate.

most schools don't require biochem for dental, the med schools are however starting to require one semester of biochem and one of orgo instead of 2, but thats because of changes to the mcat, luckily for us the dat has remained the same....

You have all this and all that, yet you say you know schools are asking for biochemistry, but the truth not all schools require it.

Use your brain and do some research.

Seems like the satellite school you went to is from out in space.

If you ask me what are your chances, yea there good, on paper, but logically, ehm, not so good.

If many of the schools you're applying to REQUIRE it, then by all means, take it!
