Hi everyone,

I'm currently accepted to an MD school with an early orientation, which has not specified any CTE/PTE policy. I checked the website, MSAR, and all my admissions documents and no date is listed. I am curious because I am currently on 4 WL, all of which have SUPER late CTE for their classes and not a lot of WL movement yet. Is it possible a school does NOT have a CTE policy? Or is one always enforced by AMCAS with the 21-day rule? Obviously, I'm hoping my school has elected not to use CTE, and therefore I'll be able to stay on my WL longer. Thanks!

Edit: I did PTE at this school, as I do currently plan to enroll there, and dropped my other acceptances in early April.

Ask your waitlisted schools for an update on your status and let them know of the early orientation date.

Yeah I was planning to do this once it get's closer to that date. The only thing is if I have to CTE then the date would be even SOONER that I would have to know. I saw Tulane, for example, has elected not to use CTE this year. I guess I could just man up and ask my accepted school.
