I love Chemistry, however, it seems that my 4-year university does not offer any "General" classes. We have Introductory Chemistry I & II and Introductory to Biology. They transfer to all other schools as a General Chemistry of General Biology.. However, the names bother me.... I have a meeting with a Pre-Medicine advisor coming monday for other issues (including this), but I want your opinions! Do you think this will royally mess me up in applications? Thanks!

Wow... Simple question that needs reinforcement on my side yet the answers that I got were rather mocking in nature... 🙁

Find out what the prereq for organic chemistry is. That will be your gen chem class.
Thank you! I just texted my friend and he is in gen chem and seemed to start farther than me and i'm sad I didn't get to but am starting at chapter 1.

I agree with the suggestion to look up whatever the prereqs for organic chem is and go with that. It's likely going to be that introductory chemistry I&II you mentioned. If you have premed advising at your school, even if it's not great for applications, they'll be able to at least tell you what the proper prereq classes are.
