"No Hearts or Heads"

What's the deal with a lot of the jobs listed on gaswork specifying "no hearts or heads"? I get it with the "no hearts" bit. Even though I like it, it's not everyone's cup of tea. However, I really don't understand the part about "no heads." Is it just that they won't call you in the middle of the night with an emergent crani? I've never found the "heads" cases to be that special or more work/worse than many other types of cases.

I don’t really get it either. I kind of assumed it meant no intracranial neurosurgery at all, but I’m not sure why people would want to avoid that. Decent paying cases and not exactly complicated.

my guess is because heads come with a lot of emergencies. Neuro emergencies (strokes, hemorrhages, etc) make up a huge percent of our emergencies at night. (we got no trauma)

To me heads= working at night a lot.

Oh sh_it! All this time I thought those ads said "No Hearts or Head" which is why I NEVER applied to any. FYI this was an interaction I had on American Airlines yesterday:

Flight attendant: "Hello. Would you like some headphones?"

Me: "Why yes I would....and how did you know my name was phones?"
