No II. Pump Me up please :)

From going through your post history, it looks like you are a reapplicant.

Why do you think you didn't make it last cycle? What have you done since then to improve your chances? And what are your stats?

Without that info, none of us can realistically "pump you up." Personally, I'd hate to cheer you on just to set you up for failure.

No matter what change in your year-over-year stats has occurred, the die has been cast...let's use dice instead... 😉

Stay the course. It's the middle of the season.

I didn't get a II until January last year and I got in. Keep your head up.

I was complete around mid august. (I am not sure if you mean you submitted to AMCAS or your secondaries in august) If it was your AMCAS, you are freaking out too early.

If it was your secondaries, I am in the same boat. I have one II, from my state school, which, based on my scores, I was guaranteed.

There are a lot of people in the same boat. Just keep busy.
 
Timing of IIs means almost nothing. The school where I'm at now offered me an II late March, and accepted me in mid-May

Rule of thumb is not to worry until January about lack of IIs.

My first of many II didn't come until late October - early November. Don't worry.
 
I feel you brah. I submitted my primary on June 10th and completed almost all of my secondaries by August, still no interviews.
 
Last year all of my applications were complete in August. I got an ii and subsequent acceptance in March. I know it blows, but try to hang in there and remember why you are doing what you are doing.
 
Hi guys, been really busy sorry for the no replies! Yeah it blows but I'm keeping busy. I am a reapplicant so not getting anything stings just a bit more. My credentials from last year to this year have improved significantly imo. Working in a really awesome lab, got a bunch of awards, and am doing tons of medical volunteering. SO trying to keep my head up, this process is brutal! Hoping for some love sooon 🙂 Thanks for the cheering up guys. Here's to the coming year 😀

I'm a reapplicant too. No interviews. Waitlisted and rejected by state school two years ago. So close, so close....

Good luck to you this year. Waiting this long, especially as a re applicant, is brutal. Stay strong!

I hear ya! Looking through your MD apps we are very similar except you have a bit higher MCAT score than I do...Still the waiting sucks but I'm hopefully. It's slightly early in the game. I also have 3 rejections, which really bummed me out but we can't change the past. Thank god for football season to keep me slightly busy heh 🙂

Also a reapplicant. No II. Complete most places by august/early september. Hopefully all this waiting will pay off.

Definitely, I'm trying my best to not look too much at the school discussion threads...slightly successful
 
I've had one earlier at Temple on Sept 25th, and since then all but deadening silence from the rest of my schools. Hang tight, it's gonna be a long ride.
