Hi everyone. I am applying to all ten TMDSAS schools this cycle. My apps were complete by late June or early July at all schools. I have only received an II from TCOM so far. I am grateful for this opportunity but I was hoping I would get more IIs from MD schools too. I see here on SDN that people who were complete around the same time as me or later than me are receiving IIs left and right.

Do you think it is too early in the cycle to get worried about not having interviews? Also, is it common for applicants who applied relatively early to get interviews later in the cycle and get accepted? I am worried that I might have some kind of red flag on my app that is holding me back. I completed around half of my prereqs at a community college and then transferred to a 4 year. Do you think this might be one reason why I am not getting interviews?

Thank you for your feedback. Here are my stats:

It's July.
Chill neurotic premed!

Your stats are appropriate for most of the schools, so assuming you've turned in all of your secondaries, you should expect 4+ interview invitations by mid October.

Thank you for the responses. I will try not to worry too much.

I'm in the same boat! If I was going to make a thread it would sound exactly like this haha. Lower stats than yours (LizzyM 69), complete early-mid June, only 1 II from TCOM so far (which I am very grateful for, don't get me wrong). I've limited checking my email to once a day and visiting school-specific threads less often. There isn't much we can do but wait, unfortunately. Hopefully we will get some more good news soon 🙂

I definitely wouldn't call my stats amazing, but I was hoping it will be enough to get me at least one acceptance.
You know you're on SDN when someone with a nearly 4.0 GPA and 600+ of hospital volunteering alone was HOPING their stats were good enough to get a SINGLE INTERVIEW somewhere...
:smack:

Ha Yeon Soo fan I'm guessing:joyful: but yeah even for Texas schools it's way to early in the cycle to be worried.
