Did you apply to any safety schools? I see some top notch schools up there.. with that gpa you should have some safeties.

I would say go ahead and add those schools. Spending some money now is way better than wasting another year later. Don't make room for yourself to regret later. After you get you degree, the little money that you spend right now is nothing. But I have a question: Isn't that the deadline for primary submission for most schools Oct. 15? And today is Nov. 1 already. Check that before adding them.

I'm not really sure what the current stats are since I will not be applying until 2012. But I know there are a few MD schools that will consider your scores competitive and give you interviews. You just have to do the research.

i really meant submit their secondaries
i had already added a bunch of schools 22 back in august when i wasn't sure of how each school would look at my application. then i got caught up with schoolwork and didn't send in secondaries to places where i didn't think i had a chance. and now its november. and im wondering if i should exercise the option.

i'll go ahead and take 3 days off of school to get these apps in.

I guess you can add them for the sake of having no regrets, but this late, you have very slim chances at any allopathic school. As a reapplicant, you really should've prepared better than that. It seems like you're not serious about med school this year, you probably should've waited 'till next yearr from the start.

pls tell me its not lateness thats stopping me....

august completions are not late, but you have low gpa and international status going against you, so you need everything positive that you can get. while not all hope is gone for this cycle, your chances aren't great, and you need to start preparing for the next cycle right away.

I guess it could be location. I'm surprised Tulane hasn't given you an interview. REALLY surprised since you're attending Tulane and your MCAT is much higher than their average.

I am not suprised by that, I go to Tulane undergrad and have a 35R MCAT with no interview or even a completition e-mail. Whenever I try to contact them and plead I am an undergrad they say TOOO BAD!

They basically do! That is why I love living in this city though... Thank you on the congrats, if only Tulane noticed! Seriously I talked to my advisor who is the assistant dean of the science and engineering school and she told me how Tulane Med has been making many undergrad teachers very unhappy. They are rejecting Tulane undergrads with great scores for no reason!😕
