I have been hearing new graduates are moving to undesirable locations and foreign graduates can't find work.

I have been setting up fake pharmacist job ads on Craigslist since 2000. There has been the same foreign pharmacy school graduate who has been applying to my fake ads for years. When you mean "foreign," do you mean students who did their PharmD in the USA but their BS in a foreign country or people who got their PharmD in a foreign country. I do not even understand how a person with a foreign PharmD is even able to practice pharmacy in the USA.

Depending on where they want to school, many foreign earned PharmD (or their letter equivalent) are able to practice in the US, they still must pass a basic science exam, the NAPLEX and possibly the TOEFL.

To the OP, there are no pharmacy jobs for someone who isn't already a legal resident. No employer will pay the fee to sponsor someone who isn't already in the country legally. If someone is licensed and already has legal residency, there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to get a pharmacy job (unless they really interview poorly, their license is on probation, etc.)

i know someone who's been a PIC for cvs for 5 years. but last year cvs won't help renew her visa (won't sponsor her), something along the line. she got her degree in the states, but a foreigner and require sponsorship.

I have known of several immigrant pharmacists who have been able to maintain legal status due to sponsorship, with the last remaining obstacle to permanent status being priority dates.

It can make sense to place foreign pharmacists in difficult-to-staff places from a business perspective because permanent resident status is in the employer's hands whether the pharmacist stays with the original sponsor or gets a competing company to sponsor and quit the first company. U.S. citizens can just bolt for a better job at the first opportunity without being tied down by visa considerations.

If your boss won't help you get a green card though, which can happen as Rx sups come and go, you are screwed.

Please enlighten me: For what possible reason are you doing this? I cannot think of a single beneficent reason; all that comes to mind is identity theft.

They need to get out and go practice in their own countries

Ridiculous that US school graduates can't find jobs but these foreigners are being hired and are practicing
