Hey guys
I'm taking MCAT on July 30th, and that will be the only score i have for MCAT.

I marked as "planned to take on July 30th" on my primary AMCAS.

the AMCAS primary was verified recently, i have everything done including all my LOR letters, which i sent them all as a packet to all schools when primary was submitted.

Should i go on and start submitting my secondaries now, or wait until i finish MCAT and do it in August?

Does it make any difference?

I'm in the same boat as you, and I've been submitting the secondaries once I've finished them. There's certainly no harm.

Some schools think you are withdrawing if you don't complete their secondary within a month. I am thinking of Boston. Two years ago (when I was young and naive), I completed my primary and decided to wait on starting all my secondaries after I took my MCAT (It's hard to do both). My MCAT exam was a good month and a week after my primary had been completed.. and needless to say, Boston thought I no longer was interested.

But i think that even if secondary is submitted, they won't look at my application until MCAT score is released, which is more than a month from now. No?

Yea I will submit easy ones (no essay) whenever i have time.

Also, If i sent all my letters with AMCAS primary, i don't have to send them all again in secondaries, correct?

Most if not all will keep your application on hold until they get your MCAT. some schools -- like boston though -- don't even look at your application until the secondary is completed. So they just think you aren't interested -- even though it says on your application that you will be taking it later.

You can still put off the application until after your MCAT... and I doubt most medical schools will even noticed you put off the application (but who knows, maybe Boston wrote me off two years ago)

if your letters are at AMCAS you don't need to send them out again (unless you apply to Duke or the few schools that don't except LORs from AMCAS)

Yea Duke is the one that doesn't accept LOR from AMCAS, i'll make sure to send my letters to them. I guess i'll have to watch on BU and try to get them secondaries done.

I know it won't make THAT much difference even if i do all these after MCAT which is 2 weeks from now.
But i was thinking about finishing MCAT, preparing secondary essays very well(for about 2~3 weeks) and then send them... i guess i shouldn't send them too late.

Should secondary questions (ranging from 5~6 sentence answers to 2~3 paragraph answe essays) be polished and revised like personal statements? or should they be just concise and clear cut?
