OP, just take the MCAT. Its not that bad and is only the first (and probably the easiest) of MANY standardized exams in the medical career.
I don't think he mentioned he was an expert, simply that given your lack of experience being a medical student you have less authority in describing what med school courses and boards are like than say an individual like (mcloaf) who is a med student.

One guy got into MSU this year without one. Pretty rare tho
