No Red at CVS

I heard somebody mention, in another thread, that some CVS stores have rolled out with no red in the queue. Has anyone actually worked in one of these stores? I need details...this current phase is not sustainable.
 
What does the color of an overdue script matter?

why is it called red? was it something of an ancient past that it was red color? I can only imagine it makes it hard to read
Yes. Orange was once red. Some team down in Woonsocket managed to justify their existence by determining it would be less traumatic on us if they changed red to orange.

But that is not what I am asking about.
I have heard that they are doing away with red/orange overdue scripts altogether in an effort to change the focus from the queue to the customer.

That could be done in a positive manner if done right, or it could be done wrong and just complicate things. I am much more interested in filling the scripts with pickup times that were specifically requested by the patient first. Everything else should be in the queue with some sort of priority, but not with a pickup time.

So, if what I hear is true, that they are doing away with orange, but they simply wipe out the color and change nothing else, then that is a useless change. If they stopped assigning random pickup times to scripts when the patient never requested a particular pickup time, that has potential for being rolled out beneficially.

What I am asking is, has anybody seen this in action? A post in another thread mentioned it has begun to roll out.

The change to orange was actually to make level 1 DURs stand out more.
 
I think everyone @ CVS is more traumatized by the color yellow...yellow = don't even think about going to the bathroom, taking a sip of water, fast food pharmacy (goes real well with red...McDonalds), etc.

CVS reminds me of George W Bush and the Terrorism scale color "logic"

Try working an overnight shift @ a high volume 24 hour store outside a bus stop/adjacent to ER with a bunch of new -hires/untrained techs as your only help who will be inclined to expedite everything without hesitation and have no clue in terms of asking or even entering insurance info when needed. Can't blink, can't let them answer the phone (will end up screwing something up/come back to bite me in the ass anyways/call will eventually require my intervention, etc.). "Sorry, my shift ends now it 9:01pm"...can't even have someone to handle the cash register.

CVS focus on the customer instead of the queue? That might be funniest thing I've heard yet this year.
 
the queue is not a part of the score any more, only customer service and if the script is ready when they pick up. If it goes red but you fill it before they pick it up you get 100
 
But isn't a given that all scripts have been filled before they are picked up? So all scripts should get 100.
Obviously, it is based off of when they come to pick it up. So when we pull up their profile, it has to be ready to get the 100%. If you pull up their profile and something is not ready you lose points automatically even if the customer shows up way before it was scheduled.

LOL this was literally my thought too. But knowing CVS I knew they had to have a way to deduct points. And knowing CVS pharmacists they have a way to completely get around the system so they don't lose points.

imagine a situation of a drug being electronically verified "data verified" as bagged and ready to be given to the customer before it has even been physically pulled off the shelf or counted.

It isn't hard if you try.
