I just called up pearson today to ask about the no score option and they said if we choose this option it will still count as one of our 5 attempts, but none of the schools will get any score.

Has anyone ever done "no score" how does it work, if the school doesn't find out that we ever took the test how does it count as one of our attempts.

So a "no score" option is not the same thing as a no show?

I believe it's slightly different. My friend opted for a no score option the first time that she took it and she still received a "scorecard" type of letter, basically stating that she didn't want it scored. However, the 2nd time, she just didn't bother to go (because she still didn't feel prepared) and that time she didn't get any sort of mail or anything. It was literally as if she just paid Pearson 150 dollars for no reason lol.

Generally, I don't think many people take it over 5 times... I think the most that I have seen is 3? Even if you don't feel prepared, I still highly suggest you go take it anyway for the experience. It'll give you a good feel for the exam, and might as well get something out of it since you've already paid.

I'm in the same situation, I'm planning to go for the no-score option for my 1st test in aug. What do you mean my a "score card" did it actually have her results on it? I thought this option would neither be graded or sent to pharmacy schools??

I took the PCAT in June as a no score as a really expensive practice test. I received a letter stating that I didn't sign the book and I chose the no score so none of the schools I put down would receive anything. No worries. There is a thing you can bubble in on the test that says "no score."

Nope, it had no score on it.. but she still got a letter saying that she took the exam and opted for the no score option. On the other hand, when she just didn't show up, she got no letter.. it was literally as if she never signed up (expect the loss of money)

If I decide not to take the test in October but I have put it down as planned on PharmCAS, would that be a problem and would it delay the review of my application?
