Hi, everyone, I made this account just to ask this question: could I still get accepted to DO schools without any shadowing hours/letters of recommendation from a physician? I’ve always planned on starting to shadow in march of my junior year but now, but because of the pandemic, my state is in lockdown and I cannot. There are only some schools that do not require a letter to apply, but even they say on their sites that shadowing is strongly recommended. Do you think they’d be understanding or think I’m an idiot for waiting until months before the application opens to start shadowing? 🙁

I do not thing that would be a concern as long as your stats are fine.
